“With so much swing and a bit of snark, Mose always knew just the right way to deliver his wise blues." Flower Piano co-creator Dean Mermell originally hoped for someone to perform a Mose Allison tribute at the event, but soon realized he just wanted to sing those tunes himself. Featuring the powerful trio of Kymry Esainko on piano, Eric Garland on drums, and Daniel Fabricant on bass, Mose Def celebrates the legacy of a brilliant American songsmith.

The SF Tango Orchestra makes its debut with a special evening of Argentine tango. This concert features musicians and maestros from Argentina, performing both classic and contemporary works—beloved pieces by legendary tango composers as well as new music written by the faculty. An evening celebrating collaboration, artistry, and the living tradition of tango.

The Colombo Kociolek Frontini Trio was born from the impulse of three musicians: Fabrizio Colombo on bandoneon, Émilie Aridon-Kociolek on piano, and Lucas Frontini on double bass, brought together by a fascination with the sound of the emblematic trios in the history of Argentine tango.
Following in the footsteps of ensembles like Vanguatrio, the repertoire—conceived and arranged by Fabrizio Colombo—offers a rich palette of nuances, blending a strong tango identity with forays into jazz and an exceptional display of virtuosity.

Paulo Sultanum is a Brazilian pianist, vocalist, and songwriter known for leading the celebrated Brazilian jazz quartet, Casulo, and his unique percussion style. His performances blend authentic Brazilian piano, vocals, and improvisations, drawing from deep rhythmic knowledge and interpretations of Brazilian legends. His current focus is Interregnum, an ambitious trilogy of EPs with original compositions delving into three distinct Afro-Brazilian musical matrices.

Founded in 2019, the award-winning Verve Trio has established itself as a diverse ensemble of technical precision and artistic flair. Comprised of pianist Dr. Chia-Lin Yang, violinist Elbert Tsai and cellist Brady Anderson, the trio has engaged audiences with creative programs combining familiar masterpieces with an array of duo sonatas and lesser-known gems that often highlight the influence of tango and jazz.
